A very scary case of murder has come to light in Bihar’s Vaishali district. Where a 13-year-old girl, allegedly with the help of her boyfriend and aunt, burnt her younger sister’s face with acid and chopped off her fingers to hide her identity. Police has shared this information with the media.

What did the police say?

At present, the police have arrested all the three accused including the minor involved in the incident. An official said the 13-year-old girl has been sent to the district’s ‘Balika Sudhar Griha’ (reform home), while her 18-year-old boyfriend and aunt are in judicial custody.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Vaishali SP Ravi Ranjan Kumar said the incident took place on May 15 at Harprasad village when the girls’ parents had gone to a relative’s village for a wedding function. When the parents returned home, they found their youngest nine-year-old daughter missing, the officer said, adding that the parents lodged a complaint at the Jandaha police station.

The SP said that the local police have constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT). A missing report was earlier filed which was later converted into a murder case after her body was found from a field behind her house on May 19.

During the investigation, the police have seized the mobile phones of the accused. During interrogation, the girl and her lover have confessed to having committed the crime. The duo told the police that they killed the nine-year-old girl mainly because she saw them in an awkward position, fearing that they would reveal their love affair to the family.

After killing the younger sister, the accused hid her body in a box inside the house but after three days when the body started to stink, they dumped it in a nearby field. They also burnt the girl’s face to hide her identity. The girl’s 32-year-old aunt has also been arrested for helping the duo in the crime.
