With the new BS6 Stage 2 coming into effect last month, Kia has discontinued the production of the 1.4L turbo petrol. Kia could introduce a new 1.5-litre turbo powertrain that produces 158 bhp and 253Nm of torque. This engine is currently available with the Alcazar and is mated to a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. In Seltos facelift too, the company will introduce this 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 113bhp and 113bhp and 1.5-litre diesel engine.
