Aftab used to ask for forgiveness after beating, Shraddha’s brother told the whole story, said in the court – she was completely in his clutches
Shreejay Walker told that Shraddha had a very intimate relationship with her mother. Whenever mother was ill, Shraddha used to come home and take care of her. After the death of her mother, she went away from home.
During the trial of the Shraddha Walker murder case, Shreejay Walker told that the relationship between Aftab and Shraddha was extremely strained from the beginning. There were frequent skirmishes and fights between the two. But after every such incident, Aftab used to apologize to his sister. Shraddha was also completely trapped in his clutches. She always forgave him even after seeing his brutality. She was unable to leave Aftab.
Shreejay Walker told in the Saket court that Shraddha had a very close relationship with her mother. Whenever mother was ill, Shraddha used to come home and take care of her. After the death of her mother, she went away from home. So much so that he has not seen his sister since February 2020. After the Waqf in the middle of 2021, he had no relation with his sister. She was only in touch with her friend Shivani Mhatre and Laxmanan Nadar. But after the end of 2021, his phone remained switched off or not reachable. His contact with them also ended.
Used to tell Shraddha to leave Aftab but she was in his clutches
Shraddha’s brother told the court that whenever she used to mention Aftab’s brutality, all those people used to persuade her to leave him and come to them. But Aftab had cast a spell on Shraddha. She was not ready to leave him even after suffering beatings. They saw that Shraddha was not even ready to listen to them, so the family members had reduced contact with her after her mother’s death.
Auto driver’s statement recorded along with Shraddha’s neighbor
Statements of the auto driver along with the person living in the neighborhood of Aftab and Shraddha’s Chhatarpur house were also recorded in the Saket Court today. The next hearing of the case will be in July. Delhi Police had filed a 6629 page charge sheet against Aftab in January this year. After 75 days of investigation, the police have made the aspects related to Shraddha’s murder and mutilation of her body a part of their charge sheet.
Aftab and Shraddha used to live in Mumbai. Both had come to Delhi in May 2022. The murder came to light when a friend of Shraddha told her father that she could not be contacted. Shraddha’s father Vikas gave a complaint to the Mumbai Police. It was later learned that Aftab had cut Shraddha’s body into 35 pieces after killing her and then kept them in a 300-litre fridge. After that he kept putting the pieces in place comfortably.
