UP Crime: A sensational incident has come to light from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Here a young man committed suicide by hanging himself at the Hazratganj residence of BJP MLA Yogesh Shukla. After getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot, took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Shrestha Tripathi, who looked after the media cell of MLA Shukla. He was a resident of Haidergarh, Barabanki.
A police officer said that the reasons behind the suicide of the deceased youth Tripathi are being ascertained. The real cause of death will be known only after receiving the post mortem report. The police officer said, at present it seems to be a case of suicide. The officer further said that the police have not found any suicide note from the MLA’s flat. According to the information, the youth hanged himself around 11:30 pm. An FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and investigation is underway.
Hazratganj Inspector Pramod Kumar Pandey said, ‘Before committing suicide, Shrestha called an acquaintance or relative and said that he was going to commit suicide. The person to whom he had called informed the police control room. After this the police team was sent to flat number 804. The door was locked from inside. When the police broke in and entered, Shrestha was found hanging. The police have seized his mobile phone.
A similar case had also come from the residence of Union Minister Kaushal Kishore.
Earlier, a youth named Vinay Srivastava died after being shot under suspicious circumstances at the residence of Union Minister Kaushal Kishore in Begaria village. This incident happened on 1 September. On August 27, the dead body of a 10-year-old child was found at the house of Assam BJP MP Rajdeep Roy in Silchar. Whose mother worked as a domestic help at the BJP MP’s house, was found with a cloth wrapped around her neck. The victim was a resident of Dholai area.
