I am such a person who keeps my words open. I think this has been the biggest problem in my life. And the two relationships that I came out in open about had an impact on my career. And for 12-13 years, I was like, ‘No man, just peace. I don’t want anything else in my life.”

Ameesha further added, “Because the single status of a girl is always more attractive to the people you work with. It is also attractive to your audience. And they think that if you are single or you are dating someone or some superstar in the industry, then it will only benefit your career. Otherwise they don’t accept you. A heroine dating a hero can still do films with the hero and will continue to get work. For me, that didn’t matter.”
