A video related to the Manipur violence has surfaced through social media, showing two women being stripped naked and sexually assaulted by a mob. After the video of this incident surfaced, #Meitei, #ManipurViolence, #Kukis community started trending on social media and people are demanding resignation from PM Modi and CM N Biren Singh.
A video has come to the fore from Manipur which is embarrassing to humanity. In the video, a frenzied mob is seen stripping two women and stripping them of their honour. There was a ruckus as soon as the video came on social media. From the common man to the politicians, strongly criticizing this misdeed, the BJP government was put in the dock. Many people started demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Within no time #NarendraModiResignation started trending on Twitter. In the video, two women from the Kuki-Zomi community are seen being paraded naked and sexually assaulted by a mob of men. One of the two women is said to be in her 20s and the other is in her 40s, from the Kuki-Zomi dominated hill district of Kangpokpi. It can be seen in the video that a crowd of men is taking her naked on the road and towards the farm. It has been confirmed by the police that the incident took place on May 4 in Thoubal district and a ZERO FIR was also registered in the matter on May 18 in Kangpokpi district.
