Another blow to Uddhav Thackeray, 12 out of 15 states chiefs went to Eknath Shinde camp

Maharashtra News: Many leaders of Uddhav Thackeray camp are seen leaving his side. On Friday, 12 state chiefs of Shiv Sena have extended their support to the Shinde faction, leaving Thackeray.

Maharashtra News: In a major setback to Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, 12 out of 15 chief ministers of the state unit of Shiv Sena have joined the camp of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. A total of 12 state chiefs of Shiv Sena joined the Shinde faction on Friday (16 September 2022). These include heads of states like Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka and many more.

All the chiefs who go to CM Shinde’s faction have been assured that all possible help will be provided for the development of the party in their states.

CM Shinde tweeted: Giving information about this, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde himself tweeted. He wrote on his Twitter account, “Shiv Sena regional chiefs from different states met on Wednesday and all of them declared their support to us. In the meeting held on this occasion, there was extensive discussion about the expansion of Shiv Sena party organization in every nook and corner of the country.

The CM wrote in his second tweet, “This included regional heads of 12 states namely Delhi, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Hyderabad, Goa, Karnataka, West Bengal, Odisha and Tripura. He has assured all possible help to all these state chiefs for the development of the party in their states.

Heads of 12 states joined Shinde’s camp: According to the news of News18, the state chiefs who went to CM Eknath Shinde’s faction include Delhi Shiv Sena State President Sandeep Chaudhary, Manipur State President Tombi Singh, Madhya Pradesh State President Thadeshwar Mahawar, Chhattisgarh State President Dhananjay Parihar, Gujarat State Head of S. Murari Anna, the head of Hyderabad state.

The list also includes Goa state chief Jitesh Kamat, Karnataka state chief Kumar A Hakri, West Bengal state chief Shanti Dutta, Odisha state in-charge Jyotisree Prasanna Kumar and Tripura state in-charge Barivadev Nath. Significantly, in June 2022, Eknath Shinde and 39 MLAs of Shiv Sena had revolted against the Maha Vikas Aghadi government led by Uddhav Thackeray. After which Eknath Shinde formed the government with the support of BJP. Since then, the Shiv Sena has been divided into a political tussle between the two camps.
