Deepotsav was celebrated on Sunday i.e. 23 October in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. A world record was also set for lighting 15 lakh 76 thousand diyas here, but after the lamp was extinguished, the people of the poor houses living nearby started collecting the remaining oil in the lit lamp. Congress has targeted BJP for this. At the same time, common social media users are criticizing the government.
People reached the ghats to collect oil
Along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, many ministers also reached the Deepotsav. After his departure, children, women and the elderly were all seen taking out oil from the extinguished lamp. Some people had brought containers in their hands, while some people had brought plastic bottles to collect oil. Some people who came to collect oil told the media that it benefits them a lot. Because of poverty, they come here to collect oil.
