BJP benefited from Maharashtra developments, now eyes on these states – know what is the complete plan

Only 10 days had passed since the meeting of the opposition in Patna, the capital of Bihar, but in the meanwhile a big game took place in Maharashtra. NCP leader Ajit Pawar joined the Shiv Sena-BJP government along with over two dozen MLAs. While Ajit Pawar took oath as Deputy Chief Minister, eight MLAs took oath as ministers. This development is being seen as a big advantage for the BJP ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

In one stroke, the BJP completed its 2019 revenge. Then NCP chief Sharad Pawar separated the Shiv Sena from the BJP and formed the Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition government with the Congress. The BJP has now also cleared the way for itself for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra. Here BJP was also facing challenge from NCP.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s impression is visible in this surprising development. BJP’s chief poll strategist Amit Shah, who has been leading the party since its defeat in the Karnataka polls, has been talking to former NDA allies and assuring existing allies.

According to sources in The Indian Express, Ajit Pawar had a meeting with Amit Shah on the midnight of June 29 and Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were also present in this meeting. In this meeting, it was decided to give second chance to Ajit Pawar. At the same time, a senior BJP leader told The Indian Express that this is part of the 2024 strategy.

BJP leaders feel that if Shinde and his 16 fellow MLAs are disqualified, the BJP may not be thrown out of power and continue to form the government in Maharashtra with the help of Ajit Pawar and his supporting MLAs.

In Andhra Pradesh, BJP may forge an alliance with its former ally TDP. It was only last month that the national leadership of BJP met TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu. According to sources, the meeting discussed the status of both the parties and how they can benefit from the alliance.

The BJP and the TDP had gathered to discuss the possibilities of an alliance in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. However, so far there has been no response on this. Sources told The Indian Express that the TDP fears that a formal alliance could harm its prospects. TDP feels that if we proceed with understanding and support of each other, it will be much better.

Recently, Amit Shah visited Visakhapatnam and during this he fiercely targeted Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. He had said that Andhra has become the center of corruption. Only after his statement, it seems that the BJP in the state may forge an alliance with the TDP in the coming times.

BJP may need YSRCP’s support in Rajya Sabha regarding the recent ordinance on Delhi. But it is believed that YSRCP may not support this bill. The BJP has 303 members in the Lok Sabha and enjoys a clear majority, but will need support in the Rajya Sabha.
The YSRCP has also objected to the conditions of the UCC. Jagan Mohan Reddy has a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday and during this the party can clarify its stand.

At the same time, in Rajya Sabha, BJP is expecting support from Naveen Patnaik’s BJD. Though BJD has supported NDA in Rajya Sabha on many important issues, but BJP is the main opposition party in Odisha, it cannot be denied.

BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi has launched the maximum attack against VK Pandian, private secretary to Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik. Naveen Patnaik’s personal secretary also participates in rallies. The BJP hopes that Naveen Patnaik will soon retire from politics in Orissa, after which a vacancy will be created in the state.
