BJP leader entangled with hijab doctor, asked questions on wearing uniform, police registered case
Police registered three cases against BJP functionary Bhubaneswar Ram, a resident of Thirupondi in Tamil Nadu.
A female doctor was working at a primary health center in Nagapattinam district of Tamil Nadu. But she was not wearing a white coat and was wearing a hijab. Meanwhile, a local BJP leader (BJP worker) reached there and started arguing with the woman for not wearing a white coat. Later the woman lodged a complaint with the police and got a case registered against the BJP leader.

The incident took place on the night of May 24 inside the Thirupondi Primary Health Center in the southern district. In the video, the BJP leader is heard saying to the doctor, “I doubt whether you are really a doctor. Why are you not in uniform, why are you wearing hijab?”
The nursing staff of the PHC, who came to the rescue of the doctor on duty, also released a video of a quarrel with the doctor. Police said the BJP worker had taken one Subramaniam to the PHC for treatment, but when he saw the night duty doctor wearing a hijab, he started quarreling with him.
