Vivek Agnihotri, director of the film ‘The Kashmir Files’, keeps tweeting about Bollywood every day. Now he has said that Bollywood is killing Bollywood. He says that even if Bollywood stars do not accept it, it is a bitter truth. He said this on the tweet of film producer Girish Johar. In which he has given information about the losses incurred by PVR.
In fact Girish Johar wrote on Twitter, “Boxoffice is sparing no one… Reportedly, PVRInox has reported a loss of around ₹333 cr in Q4FY23, adding to their earlier loss of ₹107 cr Is. Now they are planning to close around 50 under performing theaters in next 6 months. #BOTrends

Sharing Girish’s tweet, Vivek Agnihotri wrote, “Bollywood is killing Bollywood. Even if there are no Bollywood stars now. Dynasty and Raja don’t introspect and cut stars’ prices by 80% and they don’t invest in R&D and writing. No one can save them. Bitter truth.”
While replying to Vivek Agnihotri’s tweet, many people attributed the loss to PVRInox. Abhishek Mishra wrote, “I don’t think this is the case as stars are still charging exorbitant fees. I think the film financiers are giving this money knowingly and are fine with the loss. There must be some reason behind it.
Apart from Vivek Agnihotri, Kangana Ranaut has also reacted to Girish Johar’s tweet. He wrote, “We need more theaters in our country. We need more screens, this is not good for the film industry…Having said that watching movies in multiplexes has become very expensive, going out with friends/family means a significant part of a middle class salary…Some work needs to be done needed…”
