A shocking case has come to light from Hyderabad. On Tuesday late night, there was an argument between brother and sister regarding the last rites of the mother. The woman’s son was saying that the last rites would be performed according to Hindu religion, while the daughter was saying that the mother would be buried according to Muslim tradition. Both believed in different religions. The dispute escalated between the two and tension arose in Madannapet area of Hyderabad. When the police saw people gathering on the road, they intervened in the matter. The police investigated the matter and found a middle ground after verification of the documents.
In fact, there was a tense atmosphere in Darab Jung Colony when a 95-year-old woman living in nearby Chadarghat died. After the death, the woman’s son and grandson wanted to perform her last rites as per their Hindu tradition. While the woman’s daughter wanted to bury the mother according to the Muslim way. Due to this, a dispute started between brother and sister.
In fact, the woman’s 60-year-old daughter had converted to Islam two decades ago. She said that she has been taking care of her ailing mother for the last 12 years and her mother has also converted to Islam. His last wish was to be buried according to the tradition of Islam.
The daughter said that “My mother was living with me for the last 12 years. I was taking care of her. Nobody took care of him. Recently I got her surgery done for Rs 5 lakh. No one came forward to help. The mother had said that no one would come to ask her after her death. He said that he would be buried in the last rites. After this the daughter presented the video and documents. According to which, his mother had converted to Islam in January 2023.

People from both sides were deployed on the road regarding this matter. Soon the crowd started gathering there. Seeing the matter escalating, the police intervened and resolved the issue amicably. To keep the daughter’s mind, the last prayer was done for the deceased woman at her home. After this the dead body was handed over to the son for cremation. Both the brothers and sisters agreed to this decision. After which the tension ended and the last rites of the woman were performed.
