Caste Census Ban: This is not a survey, it will happen – Tejashwi Yadav; Said – BJP will be happy with the decision of the court

The Deputy CM of Bihar said that when the central government refused, we were getting it done with our own resources. From this it is known who is poor, what is the economic condition of which caste.

Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday said on the Patna High Court’s stay on the caste census that it is not a caste census, it is a caste-based survey. This is neither the last nor the first survey of the government. Said that our government under the leadership of Nitish Kumar is committed to get this work done. It was in the interest of the people and it was also the demand of the public.

RJD leader said that the survey was not about caste

He said that this survey should be done. The desire of our government was to remove poverty and backwardness. In the survey, how the government’s schemes and its benefits reach the last rung of the society, how the poor get benefited, all this was in it. I also wanted to know what is the economic condition of the people. Tejashwi Yadav said that this survey was not about caste. It was for everyone. The judgment that has come will be studied. Will read, will see. BJP has always been anti-poor, anti-reservation. Today she must be celebrating.

Patna High Court ban on caste census, Supreme Court had given instructions for re-hearing

The Deputy Chief Minister said that after seeing the decision, it has to be done if not today or tomorrow. No matter where the government is. Without this, neither the state can move forward, nor can there be progress, nor can backwardness be removed.

They said that when the central government refused, we were getting it done with our own resources. From this, it would be known that who is poor, what is the economic condition of which caste, what is the occupation, what work they do, then according to that they would have been given government benefits.

Earlier, the hearing on this issue was completed in the Patna High Court on Wednesday. The court had asked to pronounce its verdict on Thursday. The next hearing in this matter will now be on July 3. Many parties including Janata Dal (U), RJD were demanding for a long time to conduct caste census.
