Chattisgarh: Bus of BJP workers going to attend PM Modi’s meeting met with an accident, 2 people died, Bhupesh Baghel announced compensation
Regarding Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Raipur, BJP State President Arun Saw said that this is the first rally of the Prime Minister in the state before the elections, it will encourage the party workers and infuse new energy in them.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Chhattisgarh’s capital Raipur on Friday. Earlier, a bus carrying BJP workers going to attend PM Modi’s meeting near Bilaspur collided with a trailer. Two people died and 6 were injured in this accident. A total of 40 BJP workers were on board the bus. The injured were immediately admitted to a nearby hospital where the condition of three is said to be critical.
Bhupesh Baghel announced compensation
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel announced an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh each for the families of the two deceased in a bus accident near Bilaspur and directed for proper medical treatment of the six injured.
All these BJP workers were going from Ambikapur to Raipur to attend the Prime Minister’s meeting. The accident was so severe that most of the bus was badly damaged. The rescue team reached the spot, immediately took the injured out of the bus with the help of the local people and rushed them to the hospital. The driver is said to have dozed off because of the accident.
PM to inaugurate projects worth Rs 7,600 crore in Raipur
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Chhattisgarh’s capital Raipur on Friday and inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of ten projects worth about Rs 7,600 crore. The officers provided this information. This is his first visit to the state. An official said on Thursday that the Prime Minister’s program would begin at 10:45 am at the Science College ground in Raipur.
During the programme, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the four-laning of the 33-km Raipur-Kodebod section of National Highway 30 and the 53-km four-laning Bilaspur-Pathrapali section of NH-130, the official said. He told that Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of various road projects on Friday.
PM Modi will flag off new train for Raipur
Officials said that the Prime Minister will also inaugurate the doubling of the 103-km Raipur-Khariar road rail line completed at a cost of Rs 750 crore and the 17-km new railway line connecting Keoti-Antagarh. He told that during the program, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate an Appalgee bottling plant of Indian Oil Corporation at Korba built at a cost of Rs 136 crore. Officials said that during this period the Prime Minister will also start the distribution of cards to the beneficiaries under ‘Ayushman Bharat Project’ and flag off a new train from Antagarh (Kanker district) to Raipur. After this, Prime Minister Modi will address a gathering.
