Cirkus box office collection Day 1 Circus has collected around 6.35 crores on the first day.
Rohit Shetty’s comedy film ‘Circus’, which was touted as the last big film of the year, did not turn out well for Bollywood. Trade expert believed that even though this year has been bad for Bollywood, but this film will do well at the end of the year. But in this film of Rohit Shetty, Ranveer Singh’s magic could not work on the fans and the first day collection of the film was disappointing.
A large number of spectators did not reach the theaters to watch ‘Circus’ from morning to afternoon on Friday. By the end of the evening, the number of visitors kept increasing. According to the report of Bollywood Hungama, the film collected Rs 6.35 to 7.35 crores on the opening day. Which is not even half of the expectation.
Such opening of the first film in 10 years
The film ‘Circus’ is Rohit Shetty’s first film in 10 years to have such a poor opening. His previous film ‘Sooryavanshi’ did well in the theaters even during the pandemic. The film earned Rs 26.29 crore on the opening day. His film ‘Simmba’, which came in the year 2018, also did a business of Rs 20.72 crore on the first day.
Shetty’s film ‘Golmaal’ also did a business of 30.14 crores on the opening day. ‘Dilwale’ had an opening of 21 crores, Singam Returns 32.09 crores and Chennai Express 33.12 crores.
This film beat ‘Circus’
Let us tell you that in front of the film ‘Circus’, James Cameron’s ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ is making a lot of money. The film did better business than Circus in its second week as well. ‘Avatar’ earned Rs 11.50-13.50 crore on Friday. Now it is expected that crowds of people can turn to the theater to watch the circus on Christmas and New Shawl.
