Coimbatore blast case: Six accused were arrested by the NIA in the car blast that took place last month in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. On Monday, these accused were taken to a jail in Chennai amid tight security of the Armed Forces Reserve Police. The car blast took place in front of the Kottai Easwaran temple on the morning of 23 October. One person was killed in this blast, whose name was told Jamisha Mubeen. The person who lost his life in this blast, Jamisha Mubeen was interrogated by the NIA in the year 2019.

The NIA had summoned the deceased Mubeen for his links to a radical network related to Zahran Hashim, the mastermind of the Easter blasts in Sri Lanka. Earlier, the Tamil Nadu Police had arrested Muhammad Rias, Mohammad Nawaz, Muhammad Talha, Afzar Khan, Muhammad Azharuddin and Firoz Ismai on charges of assisting Mubeen in the purchase of explosives and helping him in carrying the goods the night before the blast. . After being taken into custody, these accused were kept in the Central Jail.
