Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has given a statement on the victory of Congress in Karnataka. Talking to the media, he said that the Congress has won only one state and is making so much hue and cry about it… We have won in many states but we have never made it a big deal. He has attended the Hindu Ekta Yatra organized on the occasion of Telugu Hanuman Jayanti in Telangana as the chief guest.

When Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was asked whether the Congress victory in Karnataka would affect the neighboring Telangana state where assembly elections are due later this year? So Sarma said, “Sachin Tendulkar often scored double hundreds but sometimes he got out for zero. They (Congress) won only one state and are making so much hue and cry about it. We have won many states but we never made it a big deal.
During this, while giving a speech in Karimnagar, he said, “We are working to stop Love Jihad in Assam and we are also working towards closure of madrassas in Assam. After I became the chief minister, I closed 600 madrassas in Assam… I want to tell Owaisi that I will close more than 300 madrassas this year as well.”
Giving a statement about Telangana, he said that there will be a BJP government in the coming elections, he said, “Elections (Telangana Legislative Assembly) are in November, whether the present MLAs will remain or not, time will tell, but we will try our best to make Telangana I formed the BJP government. Talking about the issue of Bajrang Bali, he said, “Ravana’s Lanka was burnt even after Bajrang Bali was imprisoned”.
