Both the BJP and the Congress have improved their average victory margin in the 2024 elections compared to 2019.

BJP’s average margin of victory is higher

Overall, the average victory margin of the BJP is higher than that of the Congress in the current elections as well. The BJP has won most of the seats reserved for SCs and STs in the country, but the average margin of victory of the Congress on such seats is higher than that of the BJP. The comparison of the average margin of victory of the BJP and Congress on reserved seats is more important as the opposition India’s campaign is based on the issue of the Constitution and reservation.
