Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has claimed that if the Congress fights the elections unitedly, it will definitely win the upcoming assembly elections and return to power once again. Former deputy CM of the state Sachin Pilot has opened a front against Gehlot these days. During this, avoiding the question related to differences with Pilot, Gehlot said that everyone obeys the Congress high command.
Sachin Pilot has been demanding a high-level inquiry into the alleged scams during the previous Vasundhara Raje government. He is saying that the government should fulfill the promises made before the elections, so that people get justice. In a meeting on May 15, Sachin Pilot warned that he would launch a statewide agitation if his demands were not met by the end of this month.
During this, he was also questioned by journalists about some leaders giving ultimatum to their government. On this, Ashok Gehlot said, “These media people spread more. We don’t believe in them. We are confident that the entire Congress will fight the elections unitedly and we will return victorious.” Assembly elections are to be held in Rajasthan later this year. Congress may hold a meeting in Delhi in the next few days regarding the Rajasthan elections.
When asked about it, Gehlot said, “Everyone will give their suggestions and after that instructions will be issued by the high command.” He further said, “Once the Congress president takes a decision, everyone accepts it.” Gehlot also said, “I hope that the experience of Karnataka can be useful for us in the discussion that will take place. That too will be discussed. We all together will accept whatever decision is taken and then move forward. Hitting out at the BJP over the Karnataka assembly election results, Gehlot said, “People of Karnataka have taught a lesson that governments are not formed by donations and spending money.”
Ashok Gehlot further said, “Karnataka has shown the way… this path will be shown by the people of every state of the country.” He said that the dearness relief camp campaign of the state government is going on successfully and people are enthusiastic about it. He said that this campaign has been prepared in such a way that people get relief from inflation.
