COVID-19: Appeal of the Indian Medical Association regarding the new variant of Corona- follow the Kovid protocol, situation like 2021 should not happen

Corona in India: Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has advised the states to increase awareness among people for booster dose and encourage people to wear masks and use sanitizers.

COVID-19 in India: Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said in the Lok Sabha that amidst increasing cases of corona in many countries including China, America and Japan, the Health Minister said that the Ministry of Health We are keeping an eye on the latest situation and we have started taking necessary steps for this. Meanwhile, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) on Thursday (December 22) appealed to the public to follow Covid Appropriate Behavior with immediate effect.

Maintain Social Distancing in Public Places

IMA in an advisory explained the measures needed to avoid the outbreak of Kovid. These measures include wearing face masks in all public places, maintaining social distancing, washing hands regularly with soap or sanitizer. The IMA has advised avoiding public gatherings such as wedding ceremonies, political or social meetings, and international travel.

The Medical Association appealed to the people to consult doctors in case of any symptoms like fever, sore throat, cough, loose motion etc. and get the Covid vaccination along with the precautionary dose at the earliest. It appealed to the government to issue necessary instructions to the concerned ministries and departments to provide emergency medicines, oxygen supplies and ambulance services so that any 2021-like situation can be avoided.

States asked to do genome sequencing

The IMA said that at present the situation is not worrisome so there is no need to panic. prevention is better than cure. He said that all states have been asked to do genome sequencing and samples of international travelers have also started from today.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that we are monitoring the situation of Kovid in China. We are the pharmacy of the world and have always helped other countries in that capacity. We are yet to issue a travel advisory, but people should follow local guidelines in the country they are living in.
