COVID Guideline: Union Health Secretary wrote a letter to the states
In a letter to states and union territories, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said, “Keeping in view the upcoming festive season and New Year celebrations, expected public health measures and other arrangements are being made to reduce the risk of spread of the disease.” needs to be implemented.” He said in the letter that the focus has to be maintained on Test-Track-Treat-Vaccination. Along with this, Kovid-appropriate behavior has to be followed and masks have to be worn and social distancing has to be followed.
“It is imperative that all measures are taken with event organisers, business owners, market associations to avoid overcrowding, ensure adequate ventilation, especially in indoor settings,” he added.
What is the situation in Himachal Pradesh
Himachal Pradesh, another favorite state for holidays, is expected to receive a lot of tourists. The health department on Friday issued an advisory to follow Covid-appropriate behaviour. CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has asked the tourism and allied departments to take care of the convenience of the tourists. He directed the officials to make adequate arrangements in all the districts and ensure smooth flow of traffic. He also urged tourists to follow COVID-19 protocols and wear facemasks as a precautionary measure.
