The site is hosted on NIC Data Centre, so the firewall is from NIC which they update regularly. The attack has been successfully stopped.”
Apart from AIIMS and ICMR, many other institutions were made victims
Apart from AIIMS, hackers also attacked Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital, Jal Shakti Ministry, Tamil Nadu’s Sree Saran Medical Center. Hackers sold personal data of 1.5 lakh patients of Tamil Nadu hospital.

Due to server down in AIIMS, patient care services in emergency, outpatient, inpatient and laboratory wings were forced to operate manually. To rectify this, the India Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN) Delhi Police and the Ministry of Home Affairs are engaged in the investigation.
