Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sadar Archana Singh said on Tuesday that the matter was investigated on the complaint of the victim’s family.

Four days later, on Geeta’s complaint, the police named four people and registered a case against some unknown people. Geeta alleges that when the procession was passing through the township of Thakur Samaj, some people using casteist indecent language prevented the procession from being taken out on a mare. According to Geeta’s complaint, after this the accused started molesting women and girls. He also said that in order to avoid interruption in the marriage, the baraat band was taken out from there, but after that the domineering people entered the marriage hall with sticks and indulged in indecency.
