Delhi MCD Election 2022 Result Live Updates: The counting of votes for the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections will begin a little later at 8 am. Its preparations have been completed. 42 centers have been set up for counting of votes. Officials have said that tight security arrangements have been made to prevent any kind of disturbance during the counting of votes. Every visitor will be monitored by CCTV cameras. The polling for the 250 wards of the MCD, held on December 4, saw a voter turnout of 50.48 per cent.
The results of all the wards will start coming from this afternoon onwards. There are 1,349 candidates in the fray for the elections. Apart from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), BJP (BJP) and Congress (Congress), many other smaller parties and independent candidates are in the fray in the municipal elections. According to the State Election Commission, “counting centers are located in Shastri Park, Yamuna Vihar, Mayur Vihar, Nand Nagari, Dwarka, Okhla, Mangolpuri, Pitampura, Alipore and Model Town, among many other areas.” Police officials said 20 companies of the Central Armed Police Forces and over 10,000 police personnel have been deployed at the centres.

Party leaders are upbeat over the prospect of a majority for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the exit polls that have declared the results of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections. On the other hand, the BJP, which has been in power in the MCD for a long time, has expressed hope that the exit polls in Delhi will be proved wrong and their party will come back to power. Congress party is also hopeful that it will get success this time and it will win back its lost ground by winning with majority. However, when the results start coming on Wednesday, it will be clear who will be in power and who will be out of power.
