Delhi Metro Video: In the recent days, some such pictures came to the fore in Delhi Metro, which attracted the attention of social media users. Social media users had demanded action against such people from the Delhi Rail Corporation for indecent acts inside the metro. Now the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has taken necessary steps regarding this.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has decided to ramp up patrolling inside metro stations and metro trains by wearing uniformed security personnel and staff in plain clothes following the controversy over obscene videos of commuters in recent weeks. So that such activities do not come to the fore.

A fresh video that has surfaced on social media purportedly shows a couple kissing in love sitting on the floor of a metro coach. It appealed to the DMRC commuters to refrain from indulging in such obscene activities”.

Sources said the DMRC had recently written to the Delhi Police to increase patrolling inside stations and metro coaches to curb such incidents. “Going by the recent video, the Metro is looking to improve security and surveillance by implementing several measures,” said a senior official. “One such measure includes patrolling of trains by uniformed police personnel and plain clothes (DMRC) staff,” he said.

DMRC is also raising questions regarding women’s safety.

There are CCTV cameras in coaches on all lines except some old trains on Line-1 of Delhi Metro. The official said CCTVs are being installed in those coaches during the ongoing refurbishment process and also at metro stations to keep a watch on any objectionable activity. “This will help in saving passengers including women from danger and inconvenience,” he said.

The video of the couple kissing in a metro coach has angered many social media users. He urged DMRC to take action in this matter. Many people had also raised questions on this video.

DMRC requests commuters to report such incidents to nearest Metro staff/CISF immediately, so that appropriate action can be taken”. The CISF is tasked with guarding the Delhi Metro premises and responding to any situation inside the coaches. There is also a dedicated Delhi Metro Rail Police for any untoward activity.

Do not make reel or video in metro

In April, a scantily clad woman was allegedly seen traveling in a Delhi Metro coach. Whose video went viral on social media. After which DMRC requested the passengers to maintain social etiquette. DMRC has already appealed to the passengers not to make videos or reels in the passenger metro or metro coach. Another senior official said that the Delhi Metro Authority has its own flying squad which operates every day.
