The central government has increased the security of Bageshwar Dham head Dhirendra Shastri after receiving death threats. According to the approval received from the Central Government, he has been given Y category security. Orders have been issued by the Madhya Pradesh administration regarding this. A letter has also been written to other states in this regard on behalf of Law and Order and Security IG.

In the letter written to all the states, it has been said that under the provisions, if Dhirendra Krishna Shastri comes to his state too, he should be given Y category security cover. In fact, this protection has been given to Baba Bageshwar in view of the huge gathering in the events being organized across the country.

Dhirendra Krishna Shastri had received death threats some time back along with his family. An unknown person called his uncle’s son and threatened him to prepare for the thirteenth along with Dhirendra Shastri’s family. An FIR was also lodged in this matter, after which the police is probing the matter.

Gujarat High Court refuses urgent hearing on petition related to Dhirendra Shastri

On the other hand, the Gujarat High Court on Wednesday refused to give an urgent hearing on a PIL related to Dhirendra Shastri. In this petition, a demand was made to give instructions to the police regarding the upcoming programs of the head of Bageshwar Dham. The petitioner had demanded from the Gujarat High Court that during the upcoming programs of Dhirendra Shastri, there should be no activity promoting communal tension, instructions should be given to the police. However, the High Court refused to give an urgent hearing on the PIL.

The petitioner said that Dhirendra Shastri has been accused of inciting people against the minority community in the past as well. In such a situation, the petitioner has demanded the Gujarat High Court to direct the police officers to take action against those making inflammatory and hateful statements. Significantly, from May 26, 2023, the divine court of Dhirendra Shastri is going to be held in Gujarat. Programs of Bageshwar Baba will be organized in four cities from May 26 to June 7. These include Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot and Surat.
