After which they reached the spot and pulled out the councilors of AIMIM.

In fact, the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected mayor and councilors was going on at the Netaji Subhash Chand Bose auditorium located at Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut. With the beginning of the program, the BJP councilors started singing Vande Mataram. Owaisi’s councilors present there opposed it. Not only this, he did not stand during Vande Mataram. He remained seated during Vande Mataram. Due to this, there was a tussle between the councilors of BJP and AIMIM. They started arguing with each other. After this, fighting started on both the sides.

When there was ruckus on both sides, DM SP City and CO Civil Line were also present on the spot. BJP workers and AIMIM councilors kept fighting with each other in front of him. Seeing the matter progressing, the RAF had to be called along with the police force. As per reports, AIMIM councilors have boycotted the swearing-in and walked away.

Now SP City and CO Civil Line are appealing to invite the injured councilors and workers to the swearing-in ceremony. They are assuring them that no corporator will be assaulted now. However, the matter is not completely over yet.
