Judge Arpan Chattopadhyay ordered the arrest of four people. He added: “All this has happened because of these people”.

On Monday, the court ordered the arrest of four teachers in the teacher recruitment corruption case. Allegations were made that they had all obtained positions in exchange for money. Four teachers from Moorshidabad were summoned to court under section 319. All four were called as witnesses by the CBI. All four appeared before the Alipore court on Monday. Only then did the court order their incarceration. The names of the four teachers are Saigar Hussain, Seemar Hussain, Zahiruddin Sheikh and Sougat Mandal.
Prior to this, several new arrests had taken place in the teacher recruitment case. But no teacher had ever been arrested before. From influential leaders to ministers, everyone has been arrested in teacher recruitment cases. But this time, it’s the teacher who has to be arrested. These four teachers were arrested by the court. That day, first of all, the teachers’ lawyers asked for bail. But the judge asks why they should be released on bail. The judge also asks the teachers to explain why they should be released on bail.
For now, after the hearing, the judge has ordered a 14-day judicial detention. This means that they will be kept in the Presidency’s correctional room until August 21. The next hearing will take place on August 21.
