Gujarat Assembly Election 2022 BJP Candidates List: BJP cut the tickets of about 40 percent MLAs, many veteran names out of the list

Gujarat Election: Former Chief Minister Vijay Rupani had said that this time new people, workers should be given responsibility in the elections. I will not contest elections. All the candidates selected by the Central Election Committee will try to win them.

BJP has released the list of 160 candidates for the Gujarat Assembly Election 2022. Tickets of 38 MLAs have been cut. There are total 182 assembly seats in the state. Last time BJP had won 99 seats. Of these, 38 MLAs (about 38 per cent) have not been given tickets. How many MLAs will not be in the next list, it is not clear yet.

Among the 38 MLAs whose tickets have been cut, there are many veterans including former Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, Saurav Patel. Announcing the candidates, Gujarat in-charge and central recession Bhupendra Yadav said that these people themselves had written a letter to the party president expressing their desire not to contest the elections.

Former Gujarat cabinet minister Bhupendra Singh Chudasama has also refused to contest the assembly elections. Former Deputy CM Nitin Patel, Former Minister Saurabh Patel, Pradeep Jadeja, Bhupendra Singh Chudasama will not contest the elections. About eight former ministers of Gujarat will not contest the elections.

About 40 percent new faces: Experts believe that BJP has fielded about 40 percent new faces to deal with anti incumbency. Rupani was also suddenly removed as the Chief Minister. Various groups have been protesting against various departments of the government in the state. To deal with them, the Gujarat government also formed a committee of ministers.

BJP is in power in Gujarat for 27 years. Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of the state for the longest time. The state has had three chief ministers since Narendra Modi became the prime minister in 2014. Vijay Rupani was made the CM after Anandiben Patel. But, a few months back, suddenly almost all his ministers were replaced with him.

BJP got the least number of seats in 2017: Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister in 2014, but even after eight years, BJP is fighting the Gujarat Assembly elections on the strength of his own name and face. Also, in 2017 the BJP got the least number of seats and could not cross double digits (99). It had a loss of 16 seats as compared to 2012 and got only seven seats more than the minimum required number of seats to form the government. Vijay Rupani was the Chief Minister at the time of this election.
