Gujarat Election News: Muslim voters boycotted polling in a village in Kheda district in the second phase of Gujarat assembly elections. In fact, in Undhela village of Kheda district, people were enraged by the public thrashing of youths of the village by the police during Navratri. In such a situation, he decided not to take part in the voting.

Let us tell you that in October this year, during Navratri, the video of beating of youths from Undhela village came to the fore. According to the allegation, some Muslim youths allegedly threw stones at a Garba programme, after which the video of the police tying them to a pole and thrashing them went viral on social media. Apart from beating, some Muslim youths were also arrested.

On the other hand, regarding the incident, Deputy Superintendent of Police VR Bajpai had told PTI-language that after the registration of the FIR, the police had detained 13 people. Along with this, a large number of police forces were deployed in the village after the incident. News agency PTI had reported that a mob of around 150 people pelted stones at a garba program in the premises of a temple on October 3.

In the video that came out regarding the beating, some policemen in plain uniform were beating the youths, while the crowd in front was seen cheering them. After the video of the thrashing incident went viral, a committee was formed to investigate. The thrashing caused resentment among the local people, who now decided not to participate in the Gujarat assembly elections.
