The husband of one of the three victim women said in an interview, ‘When the village started burning, we hid in the forest. The people who committed violence were killing animals too, so they too ran towards the forest after saving their lives. Where people were hiding, the people who committed violence also reached there. The ex-army man said, ‘A father-son duo was killed and their daughter and my wife were taken away, stripped off their clothes.’

‘I can recognize some of the perpetrators’

The retired army jawan said that a police personnel was also present there during the violence but he went to the police station from there and people started violence. The jawan told that somehow the police had run away and they got a free hand. He said that I can recognize some people seen in the video but it is difficult to identify those who are from far away.
