The International Cricket Council (ICC) shared a picture of Bollywood’s King Khan i.e. Shah Rukh Khan with the ODI World Cup trophy on social media. ‘King Khan this #CWC23 trophy (Cricket World Cup 2023 trophy) is almost here…’ she captioned the picture. It is known that the ODI World Cup is to be played in India from 5 October to 19 November 2023. A few days ago, the ICC and BCCI unveiled the World Cup 2023 trophy. The special thing was that the trophy was unveiled in space. The trophy was sent into space at a height of one lakh 20 thousand feet from the ground and unveiled there.
The tournament schedule was also released on the same day the trophy was launched. Later the trophy was lowered to the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. The World Cup trophy is currently on the World Tour. The trophy has been touring every country participating in the ODI Cricket World Cup. This time teams from 10 countries will participate in the World Cup.
The ICC World Cup 2023 will begin with a match played between the teams of the previous edition finalists i.e. England and New Zealand. At the same time, the Indian cricket team will start its campaign in the tournament with the match against Australia on 8 October.
Team India, led by Rohit Sharma, will take on traditional rivals Pakistan on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Team India is eyeing to become the world champion for the third time after 1983 and 2011.
