India vs West Indies Series: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has also shared the video of the meeting of Team India players and Gary Sobers on its social media handle.
The Indian cricket team has reached West Indies to play a series of 2 Tests, 3 ODIs and 5 T20 Internationals. After reaching West Indies, the players of Team India also sweated on the nets. Meanwhile, Caribbean legend Gary Sobers along with his wife came to meet him. When Gary Sobers reached the stadium, Team India’s head coach Rahul Dravid himself introduced the Indian cricketers to him.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also shared the video of the meeting of Team India players and Gary Sobers on its social media handle. It can be seen in the video that all the Indian players were very excited to meet Gary Sobers. In the video, Rahul Dravid introduces Shubman Gill to Gary Sobers saying, ‘This Shubman Gill is one of our young and dynamic batsmen.’

Gary Sobers was a great all-rounder
Born on 28 July 1936 in Barbados, Sir Garfield Sobers (Gary Sobers) played 93 Test matches in his career. In this he scored 8032 runs at an average of 57.78. This includes his 26 centuries and 30 half-centuries. His personal highest score is 365 not out.
Gary Sobers has also taken 235 wickets at an average of 34.03, including a feat of taking 6 times 5 wickets. The ICC has named the annual ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year trophy after Garry Sobers in recognition of his achievements.
The West Indies tour of the Indian cricket team is to begin with a Test match to be held at Windsor Park in Dominica from July 12. The second and last match of the Test series is to be played at Queens Park Oval in Trinidad from 20 July. The ODIs will be played on July 27, July 29 and August 1. The T20 series will be played on August 3, 6, 8, 12 and 13.
