IND vs WI: Vikram Rathore, convinced of Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored 20 runs in 90 balls in one session, told how many years he will play cricket for India
Vikram Rathore told that during Yashasvi’s innings of 171 runs, which he scored around 20 runs in 90 balls, was the most special for me.
Indian cricket team’s batting coach Vikram Rathour believes that Yashasvi Jaiswal has a bright future in all three formats of the game after his brilliant 171 against the West Indies in the first Test. Yashasvi Jaiswal, like other debutants, did not show any nervousness in the first Test match against the West Indies and scored a century in the very first match. On the basis of this century innings, he made many excellent records in his name while also broke some records. The 21-year-old Yashasvi became the first Indian batsman to score 150 on Test debut for India on foreign soil.
Yashasvi can play for India for the next 10 years
Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has been a prolific run-scorer in IPL season 2023, played a very smart century in the Dominica Test match, which according to Indian batting coach Vikram Rathour was very attractive. Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, as quoted by Sportskeeda, he said that Yashasvi Jaiswal had curbed his natural game during this innings and the same ability to get through tough times was worth watching. Yashasvi is known for his aggressive batting and it was clearly visible during IPL 2023, but his innings against West Indies was completely different.
Vikram Rathour said that on the second day of the first Test match, he scored almost 20 runs in 90 balls in the first session i.e. before lunch and I think that was the highlight of his innings for me. Somebody who is capable of doing that and who can play against his character. He played the exact opposite of his normal game and then scored big, it was really amazing to watch. He said that there is no doubt that he has a bright future with the Indian team in all formats of the game. He has opened up a lot of potential for the Indian team in all three formats and Yashasvi has the potential to become a permanent player for the Indian team at least for the next decade.
Regarding Yashasvi, Vikram Rathod said that I have been a selector before, so whenever you select a player, you should go with the intention that he will play for India for the next 10 years and Yashasvi definitely has Has the potential to play for India for at least that many years. The most important thing for me is that I have not worked with him before. I have seen him scoring runs in the IPL and you must have seen what a dynamic batsman he is and what a stroke player he is, but he has been able to adapt to the situation.
