India out of Sudirman Cup 2023, Malaysia in quarterfinals

India’s journey in Sudirman Cup 2023 has come to an end. India were knocked out of the tournament on Monday after facing defeat against Malaysia as well. While Malaysia made it to the quarterfinals. Before Malaysia, India had also lost against Chinese Taipei. Now India’s last match will be against Australia on Wednesday.
India lost second consecutive game after Chinese Taipei
India went into Malaysia with high hopes on Monday after a humiliating 1-4 defeat against Chinese Taipei earlier in the tournament, but the opening pair of Dhruv Kapila and Ashwini Ponnappa lost to Malaysia’s Goh Soon Huat and Lai Shewon Jamie. Lost in straight games 16-21 and 17-21. After this, Kidambi Srikanth also lost to Lee Zii Jia of Malaysia with scores of 16-21, 11-21.
PV Sindhu raised some hopes
