An official said that the intelligence agencies have sought reports from the SSB and the UP police to ascertain how she managed to cross the border without being verified by police personnel at the border.
The difficulties of Seema Haider, who came to India illegally from Pakistan, seem to be increasing. Central intelligence agencies have sought reports on Seema Haider from the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and the Uttar Pradesh Police. Seema Haider had reached Noida from Karachi in Pakistan via Nepal.
Agencies asked for report from SSB and UP Police
Speaking to news agency ANI, a senior official confirmed that agencies have been alerted about Seema Haider. He informed that the agencies have sought detailed reports from SSB and UP Police.
The official said that the intelligence agencies have sought reports from the SSB and the UP police to ascertain how she managed to cross the border without being verified by police personnel at the border. We have also sought a report from the UP Police as she had entered India from the UP border and stayed with her partner.
Intelligence agencies are getting information about Seema Haider
The official further said that they are verifying the claims made in TV interviews about her travel and they are also ascertaining who helped Seema Haider to come to India from Pakistan. The official said that we are also taking the help of the technical team to confirm the story of his coming to India. We are also trying to get information about his background.
Notably, SSB is primarily responsible for the security of two borders (Nepal and Bhutan). Another official said that unlike other borders, the Nepal and Bhutan borders have not been fenced. People of both countries travel daily. Border security forces keep an eye on the movement but it is impossible to keep an eye on every person.
