IPL 2023: Sanju Samson reminded Mahendra Singh Dhoni, but Yashasvi Jaiswal could not hit six

In the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) on Thursday, Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 9 wickets. During this, Sanju Samson, captain of Rajasthan Rajasthan Royals, reminded former captain of Team India and captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Yashasvi Jaiswal tore apart the Kolkata bowlers. He broke the record for the fastest fifty in IPL but missed out on a century. If he had given Rajasthan the victory with a six, he would have scored his second century in the IPL, but he could only hit a four. Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson tried his best to make the 21 year old young batsman score a century.

The matter is of the last ball of the 13th over. Sanju Samson was on strike and Suyash Sharma bowled outside the leg side, the Rajasthan skipper played the ball down the line. The ball was so outside that it might have hit a boundary and the match would have been over, but Sanju didn’t let that happen. He then indicated to Yashasvi Jaiswal to finish the match by hitting a six. The first ball of the 14th over, Shardul Thakur was able to sweep the wide yorker and collect a four at the square leg.

Sanju Samson reminded Dhoni

Mahendra Singh Dhoni was remembered after Sanju Samson stopped the wide ball. The second semi-final of the 2014 T20 World Cup was played between India and South Africa in Bangladesh. Chasing a tough target of 173 in Mirpur, India won by 6 wickets. Virat Kohli had scored an unbeaten 72 off 44 balls, which included 5 fours and 2 sixes.
