In the second qualifier match of IPL 2023, Shubman Gill played an inning of 129 runs in 60 balls with the help of 10 sixes and 7 fours, which was the best individual innings of his IPL career. Apart from this, he became the youngest batsman to score a century in the IPL playoffs. He scored a century in the IPL playoffs at the age of 23 years 260 days. Not only this, it was also the best individual score made by any batsman in a playoff match in IPL history. On the basis of his innings, Gujarat made the biggest score in the playoffs in IPL. In this match, Gujarat scored 233 runs for 3 wickets in 20 overs.

Shubman Gill broke Rishabh Pant’s record by playing an inning of 129 runs and became the second Indian batsman to play the biggest innings in IPL history. Earlier, Rishabh Pant was present at number two with an unbeaten 128 runs, who now moved to number three.
