According to news agency PTI, the Afghan embassy has reportedly informed the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) about its decision to cease operations in the next few days. The Taliban regime has taken control of at least 14 missions abroad where it has deployed its own nominees, but Delhi was not included.

Sources said it has conveyed to both sides that this is an internal matter which they will have to resolve themselves.
