The Congress leader says that Modi is not only a Feku master but also a U-turn master. Earlier, he did not get tired of calling the National Food Security Act meaningless. But now he is counting the benefits of this act to the Supreme Court.

Congress’s media department chairman Jairam Ramesh has made a scathing attack on PM Modi regarding the National Food Security Act (NFSA). While Narendra Modi made fun of it as the CM of Gujarat. Jayapam has also shared an old video of Modi on Twitter.

The Congress leader says that Modi is not only a Feku master but also a U-turn master. Earlier, he did not get tired of calling the National Food Security Act meaningless. But now he is counting the benefits of this act to the Supreme Court. He said that Modi used to say earlier that this bill is going to increase the problem of hunger among the poor. In the video, Modi is also seen saying that people living below the poverty line will be snatched away from this bill.

NFSA was launched by the Manmohan Singh government in 2013. During that time only 1 CM opposed the bill and that was Narendra Modi. Jairam said that Modi used to criticize MGNREGA earlier as well. But later he liked this plan.

In the affidavit given in the Supreme Court, the Center has said that the per capita income of the people of India has increased to 33.4 percent. This increase happened after the launch of NFSA in 2013. Due to this many families have joined the higher income class. The Center says that such people are no longer poor as in 2013-12.

Keep in mind that under this Act, subsidized food grains are provided to 76 percent of the people of villages and 50 percent of the cities. The Modi government also told the apex court that 4.7 crore ration cards have been linked under the scheme after the launch of this Act. The Center said this when the court asked the government to provide food grains to the migrant people without ration cards.
