Jammu-Kashmir: Army got big success in Poonch, four terrorists killed in encounter, action started late night

Late night security forces have killed four terrorists in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir. This joint operation was going on in Sindhra area of Poonch where the security forces took this action. The encounter resumed this morning with heavy exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists. Indian Army Special Forces, Rashtriya Rifles and Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel were part of the operation along with other forces. The official statement of the Indian Army said that the four people killed in the operation are foreign terrorists and their identities are being ascertained.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu zone Mukesh Singh said, “The encounter resumed around 5 am on Tuesday, in which four terrorists have been killed.” Army officials told news agency ANI that the first encounter between the security forces took place around 11:30 pm on Monday night following which drones along with other night surveillance equipment were deployed.
Firing started again in the morning
The encounter resumed with heavy exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists early in the morning. Indian Army Special Forces, Rashtriya Rifles and Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel were part of the operation along with other forces. Indian Army officials said the terrorists killed in the operation are foreign terrorists and their identity is being ascertained.
A day earlier i.e. on July 17, the news about the two terrorists had also come to the fore. According to news agency PTI, the army on Monday killed two terrorists while foiling an infiltration bid along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. A defense spokesperson gave this information. The spokesman said that the infiltration bid was foiled during a joint operation by the Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police. The search operation is still going on.
