Why were the BJP MLAs suspended?
It is important to understand here that the BJP MLAs were continuously protesting in the House because of another reason. Slogans were raised on their behalf while going to the well. The government was accused of deputing 30 officers to its service. The protest was being held on the same allegation. But then Speaker Rudrappa Lamani made it clear that only the budget would be discussed. The lunch break was also shifted forward from his side. Due to this, BJP MLAs got angry and created a lot of ruckus and they had to bear the loss in the form of suspension.

In the same episode, now eight BJP MLAs have been suspended in Karnataka. BJP is considering this action of the Speaker as wrong. The list of MLAs who have been suspended includes Sunil Kumar, R Ashok, CN Ashwath Narayan, Yashpal Anand Suvarna, D Vedavyas Kamath, Arvind Belad, Araga Gyanendra, Umanath Kotian, Dhiraj Muniraju and Bharat Shetty Y.
