Karnataka CM: Who will become the Chief Minister of Karnataka? DK Shivkumar also got a call from Delhi
DK Shivakumar has also received a call from Delhi. He will go to Delhi from Bangalore today itself.
The Congress high command is thinking deeply on who should be made the next Chief Minister of Karnataka. Former CM of the state Siddaramaiah is already in Delhi, now DK Shivakumar has also been called from Delhi. Karnataka State Congress President DK Shivakumar himself informed about this.
Talking to the media, he said, “Today is my birthday. I will meet my family. I will go to Delhi Under my leadership, all of us 135 MLAs have unanimously left the issue of choosing the Chief Minister to the top leadership of the party. My aim is to win Karnataka and give it to the top leadership, I did that.”
Has DK Shivakumar not accepted the 3-year pact?
It is about the year 2020, BJP had already come to power in Karnataka. Yeddyurappa took over as CM when a saint from the Lingayat community pressurized him to include some leaders in the cabinet. This demand was made by Vachanananda Swami of Harihar Math. This demand of the saint drew a sharp reaction from Yeddyurappa. He said that saints can give advice to the Chief Minister, but they should not threaten him.
Now let’s talk about last Sunday, after winning the election in Karnataka, Congress is brainstorming on who to choose between Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar. Meanwhile, the same saint who had put pressure on Yediyurappa supported DK. Vachanananda Swami said that he is one of the tallest leaders, very dynamic and very productive. I wish him all the best for his upcoming assignments.
Vachanananda Swami had arrived to wish DK Shivakumar on his birthday. Another Lingayat seer who accompanied him also supported DK for the CM post. Apart from the saints of the Lingayat Harihara Math, DK Shivakumar has also been supported for the CM post by the head priest of the main Math of the Vokkaliga community. Shivkumar himself also comes from this community.
