Karnataka Assembly Election 2023: After the statement of Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, now his son Priyank has also made controversial remarks on PM Modi.

Karnataka Assembly Election 2023: The election campaign for the Karnataka Legislative Assembly is progressing at its own pace. At the same time, the war of words between Congress and BJP leaders is also going on. Nearly four days after Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge called the Prime Minister a “poisonous snake”, his son Priyank Kharge on Monday stoked another controversy by using “derogatory” words against PM Modi. Priyank Kharge said to Prime Minister Narendra Modi that if the son of the house is unworthy, then how will the house run.

Addressing an election rally in Karnataka’s Gulbarga on Monday, Priyank Kharge pointed to PM Modi and said, ‘If the son of the house is unworthy, how will the house run? Priyank Kharge was addressing a rally of the Banjara community. During this, referring to PM Modi, he said, “When you came to Gulbarga, you told the Banjara community not to worry. You told them that the son of Banaras is sitting in Delhi.

Priyank Kharge said that PM Modi had described himself as the son of the Banjara community. In such a situation, if the son is unworthy, then how will the house run. He said that PM Modi has created the problem of reservation for them by calling himself the son of Banjara community.

What is the status of reservation for Banjara community in Karnataka?

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has taken several decisions regarding reservation in the state. In this, the government has made arrangements for internal reservation for the sub-castes coming in the SC category. The Banjara community has been a beneficiary of the Scheduled Castes reservation in the state. The banjara community is apprehensive of reducing reservation due to the recent announcement made by the state government. In the old system of the government, the Banjara community had to present their claim within 10 per cent reservation, but in the new system they will have to present their claim within 4.5 per cent reservation only.
