Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off 9 Vande Bharat Express trains simultaneously on Sunday. PM Modi showed the green flag virtually from Delhi. All trains will pass through different routes in the country. These include Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, West Bengal, Kerala, Odisha, Jharkhand and Gujarat. People of these states will get a lot of benefits from these trains. The new trains have been made very comfortable and equipped with new facilities. Many new things have been added to it to provide better facilities to the passengers than before. Many features have been upgraded and many new things have been added.

The first Vande Bharat train started on 15 February 2019 between New Delhi-Varanasi.

Vande Bharat Express trains were started in the country on February 15, 2019. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had flagged off the first Vande Bharat Express train from New Delhi Railway Station on the same day. This train was run from New Delhi to Varanasi via Kanpur Prayagraj. So far 25 Vande Bharat Express trains have been run. With the introduction of nine more trains on Sunday, this number has increased to 34. In this way, a total of 68 trains are running on both sides.

Connectivity will increase between important religious places like Puri and Madurai.

The new Vande Bharat trains will run between Udaipur-Jaipur, Tirunelveli-Madurai-Chennai, Hyderabad-Bengaluru, Vijayawada-Chennai, Patna-Howrah, Kasaragod-Thiruvananthapuram, Rourkela-Bhubaneswar-Puri, Ranchi-Howrah and Jamnagar-Ahmedabad. Rourkela-Bhubaneswar-Puri Vande Bharat Express and Tirunelveli-Madurai-Chennai Vande Bharat Express will increase connectivity between important religious places like Puri and Madurai. Vijayawada-Chennai Vande Bharat Express will operate via Renigunta and provide connectivity to the religious place of Tirupati.

PM said- Vande Bharat trains have also given impetus to tourism and economic activities. The number of tourists is increasing at the places where Vande Bharat train is reaching. Due to this, employment opportunities are also being created there.

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said on this occasion that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made unprecedented changes in the railway system in the last 9 years. Today the stations are clean. New facilities are being provided. The old system of railway stations across the country is being replaced and new ones are being constructed as per the needs of today and the future. A few months ago, Prime Minister Modi had performed the Bhoomi Pujan of 508 stations of Amrit Bharat Station.

Now the speed with which Vande Bharat train is expanding, its upgradation is also being seen at an equally fast pace. For this reason, now whatever new Vande Bharat trains are coming, they are going to get 25 new features. There are some changes in these and some completely new features have been added.
