Lok Sabha Chunav: BJP preparing for major changes on the ground! This work is going to be done in 80 percent of the districts

All parties have stepped up preparations for the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Like 2014 and 2019, this time also BJP has a special focus on UP. This month, the BJP central leadership is going to appoint a new in-charge for Uttar Pradesh affairs. Apart from this, the UP BJP has decided to announce new district presidents before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. According to the information received from the sources, BJP is going to change the existing presidents of 80 percent districts of the state. From the point of view of organization, BJP has divided UP into 6 regional units and 98 districts.

UP BJP state president Bhupendra Chowdhary had announced a 45-member team comprising state office bearers and six regional presidents in March. He told The Indian Express in a conversation that the names of the new district heads would be announced soon. He said that the selection of new district presidents will be done keeping in view the experience in the work of the organization and the understanding of party functioning.

A senior BJP leader told that the units of the district put the work of the party on the ground. At this time, the presidents of most of the districts have completed their three-year term. In many districts, it has been 4 to 5 years for the district presidents, so it is certain to change the presidents of about 80 percent of the districts.

New district presidents may be announced on July 15

He informed that the process of selection of new district presidents is going on. Their names will be announced after the ongoing ‘Mahajan Sampark Abhiyan’ ends on July 15. He also informed that the party had made a plan to change the presidents in the districts about four months ago, but due to the civic elections, this work was put on hold for some time.

This BJP leader said that now that the civic body elections have been held and preparations are on for the Lok Sabha elections, the delay in naming the district presidents will delay the formation of committees in the district. The party wants the new district president and his team to start working on the ground at least 8 months before the Lok Sabha elections.

Many senior leaders can be promoted

According to information received from sources, some senior leaders can be promoted in the work of election management. At present Radha Mohan Singh, in-charge of UP, is the National Vice President of BJP. He is also an MP from Bihar. A leader told that there is no fixed tenure for the in-charge of the states as Radha Mohan Singh has to prepare for his election in Bihar as well, so the central leadership is looking for a new in-charge for UP. The name of the new in-charge can be announced at the end of this month.
