Minister in Modi government, Nitin Gadkari has made a big announcement before the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Nitin Gadkari said during an event in Washim, Maharashtra on Friday that in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, neither any banner, poster will be put up nor tea will be offered to anyone, whether he gets votes or not.
During the inauguration of 3 National Highway Projects in Wasim, Maharashtra, Nitin Gadkari said, “For this Lok Sabha election, I have decided that no banner or poster will be put up nor will tea be served to the people. Those who have to vote will vote and those who don’t have to vote will not vote…I will neither take bribe nor allow anyone to give it.”
Work underway on policy to make NH pothole-free: Gadkari
Earlier in the country’s capital New Delhi, Nitin Gadkari said on Thursday that the government is working on a policy to make the National Highways pothole-free by the end of this year. Along with this, priority is also being given to construction of roads through BOT.
Let us tell you that with the aim of making the National Highways pothole free by the end of December this year, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is engaged in strengthening performance-based maintenance and short-term maintenance contracts. Generally roads are constructed in three ways. These include ‘Build-Operate-Handover’ (BOT) as well as Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) and Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM).
