A major accident has taken place in Raigad district of Maharashtra. Here Irshalwadi village of Khalapur tehsil came under the grip of landslide. Around 6 people died in the landslide that occurred at midnight. An official informed about the accident on Thursday. The official said that at least 100 people are feared trapped in the village. Rescue operation is going on to save people. NDRF team is taking the stranded people to a safer place. According to the official, the landslide occurred at Irshalwadi village in Khalapur tehsil around 11 pm on Wednesday. According to the initial information, 90% of the village has been buried under the debris.

Union Minister Amit Shah has tweeted about the landslide in Irshalwadi village. Amit Shah has said that he spoke to CM Eknath Shinde regarding the landslide caused by heavy rains in Raigad, Maharashtra. 4 teams of NDRF have reached the spot and are carrying out rescue operations in coordination with the local administration. Our priority is to rescue the people there and provide immediate medical aid to the injured.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reached Irshalwadi village
According to the official, more than 20 people injured in the landslide have been admitted to a hospital in Navi Mumbai for treatment. Another official told that Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has reached Irshalwadi village. They are taking stock of the situation. On the other hand, Raigad police says that so far 6 people have died in the accident. At the same time three other people have been injured. Rescue operations are on to rescue people.
