Maharashtra News: Teacher thrashes 6-year-old boy for bad handwriting, police registers case

A Pune-based school teacher in Maharashtra has been accused of allegedly slapping a six-year-old student for bad handwriting. A case has also been registered by the police regarding this. Along with this, the police said that the teacher of the Central Government-Run School has been accused of threatening the child for not telling his parents about the punishment.

Police registered the case

Senior Inspector Deepak Lagad of Wanawadi police station confirmed that a non-cognisable offense has been registered against the female teacher. Deepak Lagad said that on the basis of a complaint by the 35-year-old father of the Class I boy, a case of intentionally causing insult and criminal intimidation has been registered against the teacher at the Wanawadi police station under the Indian Penal Code.

Though the incident took place on October 20, the father approached the police only recently after the boy narrated the incident to his family members. After this, a case was registered on the basis of the complaint of the father.

According to the complaint filed in the FIR, the 35-year-old teacher hit the boy with her hand for bad handwriting and also threatened to kill him more if he told his family members about it.

Explain that in case of non-cognisable offence, the police or the investigating agency is required to take the approval of the court to start the investigation and arrest the persons named in the case.

Drill machine fired on student’s hand in Kanpur

Let us tell you that last month a shocking incident came to light from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. In fact, a teacher of a private school in Kanpur had allegedly fired a drill machine on the hand of a class five student for not telling him the number 2. However, the student was not seriously injured. On receiving the information, Basic Education Officer and Block Education Officer had reached the spot to investigate the matter and then the accused teacher was expelled from the school.
