Now Congress Party President in Maharashtra Nana Patole has expressed displeasure over the breaking of Congress leaders by two other MVA parties NCP and Shiv Sena (UBT).

Nana Patole said in a conversation with a news channel on Monday that we will raise this issue in the next meeting of the MVA. He was questioned by Congress leaders about leaving the party and joining other MVA parties. He was referring to the recent joining of Snehal Jagtap from Mahad in Raigad district to the Shiv Sena (UBT). Snehal Jagtap is the daughter of former Congress MLA late Manikrao Jagtap.

Meanwhile, the NCP has already indicated that it is in favor of reworking the seat sharing formula within the MVA alliance. Maharashtra Politics: ‘BJP wanted to break NCP, Sharad Pawar’s masterstroke spoiled the game plan’, Uddhav faction told the whole story in Saamana’s editorial

On the condition of anonymity, an NCP leader said, “First of all, it is not about two parties. We are three now. Secondly, many leaders have changed their original party, now they have joined the new party. Some are defection while others are adjustments. In such a situation, the previous seat sharing formula cannot work now.

The leader pointed out that some seats which are absolutely safe zones for the respective parties within the MVA need not be changed. He further said that in the changed political scenario, a seat which has become a problem for a particular party can be given to another. Such adjustments can take some time and it is important that everyone in the MVA sits together as soon as possible and finalizes the seat sharing.

He said that the current political strength of each party should also be considered before finalizing everything. Congress party’s Maharashtra president Nana Patole said that seat sharing will also be discussed in the MVA meeting. He said, “There is no difference of opinion in the MVA on this issue. All political parties will sit together after the Karnataka elections are over and discuss the issue.”
